I've only recently discovered Tommy's on Lane. Wow, that could be the perfect Columbus style pizza. I just visited OH last week and tried a Massey's pizza for the first time. After all these years. (thanks internet). Pretty good too, though I give the edge to Tommy's. I'm trying to sample the legends that are still around on my yearly visits to Columbus. Any pizza fans remember a place called Sir Gaspar's? It was on the west side of High St at Kanawha, just north of Graceland. I know it was around in the early 70's. Definitely gone by 1980.
I worked at Gaspars late '72-'s early '73. Owner Gaspar was a great guy and the food was awesome especially all the free miss orders I would take home.Good times.

Sandro's chicago style pan pizza was great, i hung out there many of times, bellow Apollos greek/ gyros, beside BW3's buffalo wings and weck, and Subway. Another Columbus great was Gumby's pizza. The Gumby's Couch Potato pizza was like 24" or 30", just absolutely huge. Remember the old man with all the pins all over his hat and vest that would sometimes bring your order to you at Sandro's??
